Dear Saachinwar,
Since I believe that this problem comes from office suite edition, I have downloaded the file and have done four different editions of it (MS Excel 1995, MS Excel 1997/2000/XP, Open Office Calc 4.0.1, PDF) that you can find here attached. I think this tool is more useful in excel or calc file but if you still cannot open them then you can work on pdf file. Please let us know if it works.
I would like also to thank Mohd for this great tool.

Dear Mr Mohammed,

I have been reading your posts since long time and they are very useful. Time ago you shared very useful Excel file for "Filler metal selection" (as I am working as an estimation engineer, it is very useful for estimation of consumables cost) based on P-nos, but apparently this sheet does not cover all material under various P-nos as per section II. E.g. P-no 10H (Duplex / super duplex SS). Could you please update on this or do you have any other data base that covers all material under section II? Could you please share your tools/files (if any) for selection of filler metal or welding rods for various grades. Or can you guide me how to quickly find out filler metal or welding rod for different metals. It would be very helpful as previous. You can also share it on my below e-mail address.

Dear Mr.Logosweld,
I have already gone through the above files but all ferrous/nonferrous materials are not covered in this.(E.g. p no 10H etc) I was looking for excel/pdf file or any programme which can give welding consumable selection for all material covered under ASME section-II part A.
Could you please share your guidance or data base for 'how to select welding electrode/filler as per 'p' numbers' for various material combinations.
